Pack Smart for Festival Season

With music festival season officially in full effect, we scoured the internet and Instagram for advice and inspiration. The goal? To fully enjoy the festivities without compromising style and function. Fortunately, our always stylish and road-warrior friends Cheralee + Charlotte were heading to Coachella. Check out their guest post on how they made the most of their desert weekend by traveling smart (and stylishly).

From New York to Palm Springs

Our jobs require us to be on the go constantly. With so many work trips, we need to always have our essentials with us when we travel. That’s why I am so grateful to have found the Hanover backpack. It's the best for traveling as it's compact enough to carry on flights but roomy enough inside to fit everything I like to travel with. It was the perfect companion to take with us to Palm Springs for Coachella.

Cheralee shares her Coachella road trip essentials on Instagram.

I love how the Hanover keeps my electronics safe (I always have to have my laptop, camera and chargers with me). They all fit comfortably inside. Plus there’s plenty of extra room for other essentials like healthy snacks, my memory foam travel pillow, the book I’m currently reading and a notebook -- all came in handy on the journey from New York to California.

After arriving in Palm Desert following our road trip, it was time to hit the festival. We learnt from our experience at Coachella last year the importance of taking a small, compact bag that fits all of our festival essentials. The Waverley was the perfect bag for that.

Even though this bag is compact, it still fits a lot in it, including my phone, wallet, keys, lip balm, gum, and a small sunscreen (definitely needed in the desert heat!). What's even better is that this bag can be worn 2 ways: either on your shoulder like a normal bag, or around your waist as a belt bag. Of course we wore it as a belt to ensure we had our hands free to enjoy the festival!
