"This is a beautiful, classic looking bag. This size is what I thought I was looking for (and it easily fit everything I needed for a 3 night getaway. My only complaint is that by the time you do fill it to the max it is a lot to carry. If I was traveling somewhere by car it would have been perfect. I was plane and subway traveling and it was heavy and difficult to walk very far with it. That said, it fit in the overhead bins space like no roller cart could on my small flight. I was so grateful to not have to gate check my bag despite initially being a bit jealous watching fellow travelers effortlessly spin and roll their way toward the gate. . ."

Wonderful Traveler Bag

"This bag is perfect for when you travel with a wheeled suitcase but need a little more room for shows and makeup. The the lower padded zipper compartment works well to stow my CPAP gear safely. It fits snugly over the handle of my wheeled suitcase making it super convenient when traveling with an extra bag. I love this bag."

Very roomy, little structural support.

"This bag is very roomy in the main compartment - more than the standard duffel I am replacing. The shoe compartment has a removable insert that provides some structure and will hold up to 3 pairs of shoes, depending on size/type. The upper canvas main compartment does not have any structural support and is very floppy when empty, making packing the bag sometimes a challenge."

Perfect Carry on for my carry on

"I have been looking for a bag like this for years . I have the large and I use it as a carryon on top of my wheeled carry an and have not been stopped at the gate ( yet !) It’s squishy so you can shove it under the airline seat , has the separate storage area which is brilliant , and the sleeve so it fits over roller case handle . I said squishy , but it has enough structure that it’s not too floppy . I love it"

Out with the old, in with the new!

"VERY happy with this purchase. I was replacing a similar-sized duffle weekender I bought at target a million years ago and wore it until it was literally falling apart. I was stressing about a replacement bc it’s my go-to bag for short and long trips. I compared this one to NOBL, HalfDay Travel, Topo designs, Aer, Béis, and others, and decided on this one based on features, price point/value (note: I did get this Catalina bag on sale). Well I’m happy to report this Catalina deluxe small size is perfect for my needs. It’s a great size that fits a weekend worth of stuff but not so big that I overpack it and it’s impossible to carry comfortably. It fits under the seat on the plane, and sometimes I use the shoe compartment for my laptop and travel neck pillow for easy access. I love the optional pass though for luggage pull but you can zip closed and use it as a pocket. Great bag and do recommend."

Amazing bag for travel

"Just used this bag for the first time on a flight. I put my ltote (large LV never full)) inside the Lo bag and it still fit under the seat. However, I’ don’t think it would have fit if I had the shoe insert and a pair of shoes in the bottom tote compartment. The pocket to slide the bag onto a rolling carry on is brilliant. It was the first time an added bag didn’t slide of my rolling bag. If you’re thinking about purchasing this bag Ii think it’s fabulous!"

Can I take the weekender bag on a flight?: Yes! The Catalina Deluxe qualifies as a carry-on size but not as a “personal item.” It will fit in an overhead compartment, but unless it’s only partially packed, it won’t fit under an airplane seat. Hope that helps!
How many days of clothing can fit in the deluxe duffel for summer and winter?: Hi Wanda, thanks for your message! This honestly depends on not only the size of Catalina Deluxe (Small or Large) but also how light or heavy of a packer you are! Also, warmer weather would allow to fit more clothes than winter, as those clothes can be rather bulky. For example, the Small Catalina Deluxe could do about 3-4 days of summer clothes (counting all other items that may be carried) if you're a lighter packer. For winter clothes, it's likely 2-3. Again, it all depends, but we highly recommend looking at the dimensions of the bags to get the best idea of size and see what may work for you!

Thinking about getting the deep navy, but I’m concerned about the dye possibly transferring to clothing I may pack. Has this ever been a reported issue? First time purchasing!: Hi there, great question! We haven't had any comments from customers about the color rubbing off on clothes in the bag, though due to the dye, this is something to consider! The Washed canvas bags have not bled that we can record (as the canvas is "washed" previously so extra dye is rinsed out) though we have not received any customer comments about the organic canvas bleeding either, we do recommend being careful with white clothes, just in case! For domestic USA orders, we accept returns for any unused products within 30 days upon receiving your order. A $10 return shipping and processing fee will be deducted from your refund. Returned products must have their original packaging, uncut hang tag with barcode, not show any signs of use, wear and tear, marks/scratches, alterations, or any kind of damage.

For international orders, unfortunately at this time, we cannot accept returns. But of course, we will always honor our warranty in the rare case a product has a defect or malfunctions.
