The Melrose is a lightweight, polished women’s laptop backpack designed for work, travel, and everyday life. If needed, we suggest spot cleaning the bag, but only with a small amount of water (preferably distilled) apply gently with a soft cloth. However, test a small area of the bag first before applying all over to avoid any damage.

Things to Avoid - Make sure not to expose the leather to too much moisture because this will cause damage to the leather. Do not use any kind of oils, polish, or products containing waxes or silicone, as it may damage the leather. Do not use saddle soap, alcohol, varnish, ammonia-based cleaners (i.e. Windex), or bleach as they may cause serious damage or discoloration. And lastly, do not use baby wipes or any other alkaline cleaners as it may damage the finish of the leather.

Two design changes would turn this backpack into perfection

"I LOVE this backpack with all the pockets, the space for shoes (or a bento box for packing lunch), and the connecting/detachable cross-body bag. I'm planning to have a tailor remove the keychain connector from the front lower pocket and sew it into the crossbody, which is where I will keep my keys. The other change that I would love to see is the addition of a zip pocket to fit a phone located on the exterior backside of the crossbody (so it would be against the body)."

"In many ways, I feel like this is the bag that I have been looking for. I love the size. I love the functionality. I love the organization. I love the zip off purse. I never had anything more than my small wallet in the purse, but at times, it seemed difficult to get reattached to the bag. The zipper was almost twisted. I had to really work with it to get it to reconnect. I see that as a potential issue in the future, but now this bag is perfect. Several other people on my trip were amazed at the bag and pulled up the website to potentially order a bag of their own."

"The removable crossover bag is what sold me on this backpack. The backpack doesn’t hold quite as much as my Catalina Deluxe Tote, but it’s a good alternative when you don’t need to cram as much in. The various compartments and pockets are great for organizing everything. Overall, the backpack is easy to use and comfortable to wear. My one complaint is that the crossbody bag itself has no internal zippered or other pockets which means that everything inside is all jumbled together making it hard to find things like hotel key cards when you need them."

Frequently Asked Questions

For domestic USA orders, we accept returns for any unused products within 30 days upon receiving your order. A $10 return shipping and processing fee will be deducted from your refund. Returned products must have their original packaging, uncut hang tag with barcode, not show any signs of use, wear and tear, marks/scratches, alterations, or any kind of damage.

For international orders, unfortunately at this time, we cannot accept returns. But of course, we will always honor our warranty in the rare case a product has a defect or malfunctions.

Sale items are generally accepted under our standard return policy unless noted otherwise during the checkout process. If a sale item is non-returnable, the shopping cart will display a message that identifies certain products as “final sale items.” Purchases made during the warehouse sale are considered final sale items and are not eligible for return, exchange, or price matching.

Free Ground Shipping for all orders $250 and more (before tax and after discounts). Orders below $250 will incur a ground shipping fee (shown at checkout and our shipping page) - only available to US addresses. Orders can take up to 3-10 business days (does not include holidays and weekends) to be delivered.

Fast Shipping (estimated delivery in 3–4 business days) is $25 and available for orders containing three items or fewer.
