fits everything, but then you have to carry it. . .

"This is a beautiful, classic looking bag. This size is what I thought I was looking for (and it easily fit everything I needed for a 3 night getaway. My only complaint is that by the time you do fill it to the max it is a lot to carry. If I was traveling somewhere by car it would have been perfect. I was plane and subway traveling and it was heavy and difficult to walk very far with it. That said, it fit in the overhead bins space like no roller cart could on my small flight. I was so grateful to not have to gate check my bag despite initially being a bit jealous watching fellow travelers effortlessly spin and roll their way toward the gate. . ."

Wonderful Traveler Bag

"This bag is perfect for when you travel with a wheeled suitcase but need a little more room for shows and makeup. The the lower padded zipper compartment works well to stow my CPAP gear safely. Very roomy, little structural support.

"This bag is very roomy in the main compartment - more than the standard duffel I am replacing. The shoe compartment has a removable insert that provides some structure and will hold up to 3 pairs of shoes, depending on size/type. The upper canvas main compartment does not have any structural support and is very floppy when empty, making packing the bag sometimes a challenge."

Perfect Carry on for my carry on

"I have been looking for a bag like this for years . I have the large and I use it as a carryon on top of my wheeled carry an and have not been stopped at the gate ( yet !) It’s squishy so you can shove it under the airline seat , has the separate storage area which is brilliant , and the sleeve so it fits over roller case handle . I said squishy , but it has enough structure that it’s not too floppy . I love it"

Out with the old, in with the new!

"VERY happy with this purchase. I was replacing a similar-sized duffle weekender I bought at target a million years ago and wore it until it was literally falling apart. I was stressing about a replacement bc it’s my go-to bag for short and long trips. I compared this one to NOBL, HalfDay Travel, Topo designs, Aer, Béis, and others, and decided on this one based on features, price point/value (note: I did get this Catalina bag on sale). Well I’m happy to report this Catalina deluxe small size is perfect for my needs. It’s a great size that fits a weekend worth of stuff but not so big that I overpack it and it’s impossible to carry comfortably. It fits under the seat on the plane, and sometimes I use the shoe compartment for my laptop and travel neck pillow for easy access. I love the optional pass though for luggage pull but you can zip closed and use it as a pocket. Great bag and do recommend."

Will the Catalina Deluxe, in black canvas, return in the size large? The website is only listing size small.: Thank you for your interest in our Catalina Deluxe Black in Large size! While I can't give you a specific timeline for when it will return, I want you to know that we appreciate your suggestion and will pass it on to our product development team. Is the Catalina Deluxe sturdy enough to check in at the airport?: Hi Amanda, Yes! It's sturdy enough to check in at the airport. We have a lot of customers using this as their travel bag!
Does the large size fit under an airplane seat?: The Catalina Deluxe Large & Small weekenders may or may not pass the carry-on requirements due to certain airline restrictions. We have had a few customers mention they were able to take the Deluxe Large as a carry-on but it will usually need to be placed in the overhead compartment. The canvas material on the weekender is fairly flexible so if the Deluxe small is not fully packed, it may fit as a personal carry-on item. We might recommend the new Catalina Deluxe Tote as it was designed to fit underneath the airline seat.
Are their reviews on the new material recycled Polly on how it feels compared to the wash cotton: Hi Diane. Thanks for the question! Our washed canvas is cotton-based, soft but sturdy, lightweight, and pre-washed. While the 600D Recycled Poly is a 600D high-density water-resistant polyester made from recycled plastic bottles and will feel thicker and heavier. I would choose this bag if you are looking for something that will hold its shape without items inside and like a more still design. The 600D poly is also definitely more sturdy than the canvas!

For domestic USA orders, we accept returns for any unused products within 30 days upon receiving your order. A $10 return shipping and processing fee will be deducted from your refund. Returned products must have their original packaging, uncut hang tag with barcode, not show any signs of use, wear and tear, marks/scratches, alterations, or any kind of damage.

For international orders, unfortunately at this time, we cannot accept returns. But of course, we will always honor our warranty in the rare case a product has a defect or malfunctions.

Fast Shipping (estimated delivery in 3–4 business days) is $25 and available for orders containing three items or fewer.
