Bottom Pocket

Features a bottom zipper pocket with a removable padded insert to separate shoes, dirty clothes, sandy beachwear, toiletries or even lunch from the rest of your things. Perfect for daily-use or a personal item for carry-on when traveling.

Adjustable Compartments

If you don’t need a bottom pocket to carry separate items or want to fit larger items into the tote, simply unzip the panel that divides the bottom compartment from the main compartment.

Key Leash

A long leash with a clasp is available for keeping keys easily accessible.

Small enough to fit as a carry-on “personal item” in case you want to bring it on a flight with a larger carry-on suitcase.

If needed, we suggest spot cleaning the bag, but only with water or a clear, mild detergent. However, test a small area of the bag with the mild detergent first before applying all over just to avoid any damage. The recycled poly is a firm, sturdy material made from recycled water bottles. While we do not recommend machine washing our cotton canvas bags, you can machine wash the recycled poly! We recommend washing the bag on the “delicate” or “hand washing” cycle with cold water and mild detergent, then laid flat to air or line dry.

"I love the capacity of this. It's huge compared to my old purse, but keeps everything safe and in its place, so that I can find what I need whenever I need it. I'm really enjoying the internal pockets, the lanyard for my keys, and the bottom compartment works great for my lunch, my silverware, my extra shopping bags, and all the things I don't want to be digging through when I go into the top section. Great everyday bag

"I purchased the Catalina Day Tote in canvas in the thistle color. I waited to review this bag until I had used it for about 4 weeks regularly. It is an everyday tote for me, and I really enjoy it! I found that without the bottom insert in, yes, it will be less-structured; however, I have taken to putting books in the bottom section. I always have a book or two with me, and putting them in the bottom section keeps them protected. The straps are very comfortable, the material is soft, and I love the color. I love the two "slide in" pockets on the outside (one has a zipper), and my cell phone is usually in one of those. I like that the bag holds a lot, but I don't lose things in it. The only drawback I have found is that I don't have a place to put my water bottle. The last bag I had for "everyday use" had a small water bottle pocket on the short side of the bag. If you are used to keeping your water bottle in an upright pocket in your bag, this one won't have that. I've switched to a larger water bottle with a carrying handle. I do have to carry it separately, but I'm drinking more water now, so I guess that's good! Give yourself a little time to figure out how to make the bag work for you. Once you do, I think you'll really like this bag!"

I know you made this as an everyday tote but please, please include the option of a travel trolley. I have the deluxe tote and I love it. I am going on an international flight that is very restrictive on size and this bag is the only bag I’ve found that is the perfect measurements (first place I looked since I LOVE my deluxe tote) but without the optional trolley sleeve I’m not sure I’m going to buy it. Hi There, I've been considering this bag vs the Catalina Deluxe Tote. I have a feeling the Deluxe Tote is a little too big for everyday use. However, I was just curious, does this bag have enough room in it to carry gym shoes, gym clothes, and a laptop/everyday stuff? Second question, if I don't use the bottom compartment, does it collapse so that I'm not taking up quite so much room? Thank you!! The Day Tote may be too small to carry everything you're describing, unless the items you're packing are on the small and flexible side (such as smaller size shoes and really thin to roll up gym clothes). Please note, we do not recommend carrying a laptop in the Catalina bags without a sleeve as there is no laptop pocket. As for the bottom pocket, that's correct! The center divider rolls away so the top and bottom pocket can be combined into one, creating a traditional tote. Thank you for the feedback about the Seville as well!
Could you fit a size 13 inch laptop in this bag and zip it? Thanks!: Hi Delaney! The total height of the Day Tote is 13" and the total width is 11.5", so a 13" laptop could fit as long as it is within these dimensions and the two compartments (bottom pocket and top pocket) are combined! Does the top compartment fit a 13” laptop?: Hi Joyce! We actually do not recommend carrying a laptop in our Catalina bags as they don't have a designated laptop sleeve. However, the top compartment could fit a 12" laptop or smaller. Hope this helps!
As a traveling senior, I would like to request the luggage attachment. Hate when my bag is slipping around. Love that this is washable during Covid times.: Hi Kathleen! The Day Tote was actually designed more for everyday use rather than air travel. However, our Catalina Deluxe Tote and Catalina Deluxe Small/Large DO have the luggage sleeve as they were more geared towards being used with a suitcase! Does this bag stand up on its own with nothing in it or is it a floppy, less structured style?: Hi Alyssa! The 600D Recycled Poly is a firmer material than the Canvas so it does help the bag keep its shape. However, we do want to note, the top will still tip over if there is nothing in it, though it should stay standing. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions!
Does this bag have a slit so it can be placed on the handle of rolling luggage?: Hi Danielle, good question! The Day Tote does NOT have a luggage sleeve as it was designed more for everyday than travel use! The other Catalina Deluxe bags (Large, Small, and Tote) do have luggage sleeve! For domestic USA orders, we accept returns for any unused products within 30 days upon receiving your order. A $10 return shipping and processing fee will be deducted from your refund. Returned products must have their original packaging, uncut hang tag with barcode, not show any signs of use, wear and tear, marks/scratches, alterations, or any kind of damage.

For international orders, unfortunately at this time, we cannot accept returns. But of course, we will always honor our warranty in the rare case a product has a defect or malfunctions.
