We kept the strap buckles from the first edition of the Aoyama to preserve the easy convertibility of the strap. But to elevate and refine the strap, we removed the branding and upgraded the strap material to be all leather.
We made the key leash an elastic material to make it even easier to grab your keys without having to unhook them from the leash.

"My bag arrived with a hole in the side pocket and incomplete stitching. I immediately sent photos to the support email and have received no response despite following up. I like the look of the bag but shouldn’t have to pay the handling fee to return this one and get a replacement. Based on the customer service, this isn’t worth it in case you get a defective item like mine."

The interior card slots is so convenient. I love all the pockets and organization options. My one complaint is I wish there was one cross body strap to swap from the adjustable strap. I found some of the buckles to dig in because there is so much going on with the strap."
"When this first arrived I was a little worried that I got scammed. The leather was so smooth that I thought it might be fake/vinyl. It is NOT. It's just so incredibly soft leather that it initially appeared that way. Since I've been using the bag the grain has come out in a subtle way that it's clearly fine leather. The extra strap is so easy to just tuck in the bag so that I can swap to cross-body in a moment. I've had several friends comment, "what is this hand-bag you're carrying?! It's beautiful!" I've been eyeing this for over a year and finally took the plunge. I wish I had done it sooner."
"The OG Aoyoma is almost perfect. I love all of the pockets inside, the zippered phone pocket on the outside, as well as the fact that it can be used 3 different ways. I took this on a recent trip to Europe, and the only thing that keeps me from rating it 5 stars is the nylon strap. I feel that the leather strap now being sold with the Aoyama 2 is better looking, as well as being safer to travel with (not as easy to slice through). Could we purchase a leather strap replacement for our original Aoyama bags?"
"Aoyama in black leather, is now my fav crossbody, shoulder and handbag fashion travel bag! Having traveled for 15 days with my Buddhist temple group traveling from Tokyo, Nagano, Nagoya, Kanazawa, Lake Biwako, Kyoto and back to Tokyo. my Aoyama black in black survived airports, shinkansen, taxis and lots of bus rides to see historic temples, centuries old gardens, unique distilleries, breweries and quaint villages. Yes, survived a typhoon and a day at Tokyo DisneySea. We then traveled to Hawaii and Maui for a week and my Aoyama bag held up in its many charming configurations including swanky dinner at Halekulani La Mer…we fancy. My favorite features: the many strap configurations, multi pocket organization and the easy access phone pocket making taking snaps oh so convenient! I am hoping it will come in other fun colors with same robust features."
